If there are any improvements that can be made, leave your ideas below:

Carbon Copy:

SWOT analysis including strengths towards making the shots as realistic as possible as well as the weaknesses of the size and speed of the shots.

Mind Map Ideas:

Video production

Including international film trailers

Think about a variety of different genres

The re-production should include ten shots taken from the film trailer.

Film trailers

Filming our own takes on the shots that I’ve chosen.

Must include at least ten shots and must last longer than one minute.

My final 3 ideas:

Ten shots taken from the Jumanji 2 (international trailer 1)

Ten shots taken from the College official trailer (2008)

Ten shots taken from BABY DRIVER (2017)

My final idea/choice is ten shots taken from Jumanji 2 (international trailer 1), 1 minute sequence at the most.

S.W.O.T analysis for Jumanji 2 (International Trailer 1)

Strengths- there is a local wood near the college so this will allow me to film the majority of the clips there as the majority of the film is set within a forest/woods. Reviewing the trailer has helped to pick out a variety of shots that can be seen clearly.

Weaknesses- Some clips may have to be modified slightly so that it is filmed to the best of my ability.

Opportunities-  This is a chance for me to improve on my qualities of filming to professional standards and showcase my abilities.

Threats- Some shots will need to be modified to the best of its potential so it will look more professional.

Jumanji 2 shot list:

1st shot at 0:51

2nd shot at 0:54

3rd shot 0:56

4th shot 0:58

5th shot 1:00

6th shot 1:03

7th shot 1:18

8th shot 1:26

9th shot 1:28

10th shot 1:31

Analysis of my carbon copy trailer:

Positives: having the confidence to film outside of college and have the knowledge of camera techniques to base my trailer from.

The swot analysis for my project proved to be an influence as the majority of my shots had to be modified and may not have been up to the possible and suitable standard.

pre-production: We were asked to create a mind map I chose 3 film trailers that i could have used for my re-make trailer, My mind map included my video production ideas as well as genres of films that i was planning to re-make. I chose to do my take on the Jumanji 2 trailer, to be released in cinemas on December 20th. After i had chose what film trailer i was going to re-create i began to chose the 10 shots that i was going to recreate from the original trailer.

post-production: After filming my selected shots from the original trailer i began editing the shots down to a suitable size. The majority of my shots had to be cut down to a suitable size/length. The target for this project was to create a suitable re-make for a trailer of my choosing. After finishing my editing for my production i came to realise that i needed to make my production longer than i had originally imagined when i had began planning.

Negatives/set backs: my production needed to be longer than i had originally intended it to be, some of the shots i chose to re create may not have been the best choices from the whole trailer. I feel that may production has shown my knowledge of camera techniques as well as location and setting as it blended well with the trailer, however lots of improvements can be made- shot types inc. distance and zoom, The length of each shot and how it can be compared to the real trailer. A fair review would be i was able to film all the shots i intended to however i need to think more about spacing and to check that all my chosen shots for next time are able to be re-made to a good standard.
